What does a scrolling window manager do?

It arranges your windows side by side on a horizontal strip that extends beyond your screen. Instead of squeezing every app into a fixed grid, you scroll to the window you need. Existing windows keep their size when you open another one.

Can I use my trackpad and mouse?

Yes. Swipe with three or four fingers, use Control + Option with the scroll wheel, click a window, or use keyboard shortcuts. You can also drag windows to reorder them and drag an edge to change a column’s width.

Does Panoramac work with Spaces and displays?

Yes. Choose your displays in Settings › General › Displays. Each selected screen gets its own scrolling strip, focus, and layout for every Space. Unselected displays keep normal macOS behavior. Your choices are remembered across restarts and reconnects. For the cleanest scrolling, arrange displays above or below each other.

What if an app shouldn’t be tiled?

Dialogs, panels, and fixed-size windows float automatically. You can add apps to the exclusion list under “Apps that always float” in Settings. Those apps keep their own size and position, outside the strip. Calculator is excluded by default. You can also toggle a single window between floating and tiled with Control + Option + T.

How does the one-time purchase work?

Polar hosts checkout in your browser. The listed price is $3.50 USD once for two Mac activations, with no subscription or license expiry. Applicable taxes will be shown at checkout. Paste your key into Panoramac’s License settings to activate each Mac. Read the activation guide.

Can I move my license to another Mac?

Yes. Use Deactivate this Mac in License settings while online to release an activation, then activate on your new Mac. Removing the app alone does not release an activation.

Does Panoramac need to stay online?

You need an internet connection to activate and verify a license. A previously verified purchase can work offline for up to 30 days. Window information stays on your Mac; Polar receives only the data needed for licensing. Read the privacy policy.

How do I get started?

Download Panoramac, activate your license in Settings › License, and grant Accessibility permission. Then open Mac Setup from Panoramac’s menu bar icon. The checklist helps you resolve conflicting swipe gestures, Stage Manager, Spaces settings, and other window managers.

Can I go back to my usual desktop?

Any time. Pause Panoramac with Control + Option + P or quit from the menu bar. Panoramac brings the windows it moved off-screen back into view.
